Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces light rum
  • ¾ to 1 ounce blue curaçao liqueur it depends on how blue you want your drink to look
  • ¾ ounce cream of coconut
  • 3 ounces pineapple juice
  • ½ ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • Pineapple chunks and stemmed cherries for garnish

Instructions

  • Pour ½ cup of fresh ice into your blender.
  • Pour all liquid ingredients in together. Blend for about 30 seconds until creamy, and a consistent, appealing shade of blue.
  • Pour straight from the blender into a hurricane glass. Garnish with fruit and a paper umbrella.

Notes

If you don't want to blend the drink, you can mix it in a cocktail shaker instead. Make sure to shake long enough to ensure the ingredients are properly mixed.
Paper umbrellas and tropical cocktail napkins can be purchased at most liquor stores or online. I color coordinate mine with the drink I'm serving.
