How to Make a Vodka and Grapefruit Greyhound Cocktail

The Greyhound is known for its clean and crisp taste, with the tartness of the grapefruit complementing the smoothness of the vodka.
Servings 1 Cocktail
Calories 175 kcal
- 1-½ oz Vodka
- 1-½ oz Fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
- ¾ oz Simple syrup
Place a handful of fresh ice in a mixing glass
Pour in the vodka, grapefruit juice and simple syrup
Stir vigorously for 30 seconds
Strain into a cocktail glass
Add a wedge of fresh grapefruit for garnish, if desired
Variations:
- Salty Dog Cocktail -- The same recipe, just add some salt to the rim of the glass.
- Italian Greyhound Cocktail -- Keep the vodka and the grapefruit juice, just add 1 ounce of Campari.
- Rosemary Greyhound Cocktail -- The same drink, just add a sprig of Rosemary as a garnish. Or, you can try to make a homemade rosemary-infused simple syrup.
- Sparkling Greyhound -- Add a splash of club soda or ginger ale for a sparkling version of this grapefruit cocktail.
